TECHNOLOGICAL DE-CONTAMINATION

** The excessive production, usage, and spatial presence of technology evoke a strong sense of noisy contamination.
** Beyond the dialectical analysis of tech and environment we can create intimate technologies: tools that will exist beyond the investigative hunger of our visual perception.
** We can escape into the [re]terraforming, where the boundaries between nature and technology blur, and the clamor of progress becomes a quiet, almost seamless presence.
DISCOMFORT AS A COMMON GROUND
How can discomfort be designed?

** Is the discomfort meant to be calculated, synthesized, maybe faked, or interpreted as a malfunction within a system that happens by accident (a glitch)?
** Or do we trick and manipulate a user to “indulge” in their own discomfort?
** The discomfort doesn't have to dominate the system it might happen (be designed) in some of the layers of the media.
SPACE OF UNCANNY
What are these obscure spatial atmospheres that will mediate between our sensation of contemporary and future existence?

** A room / your space / my space / our space — will it evoke feelings of the "uncanny"?
** The transformation of an intimate habitat into an "experience of the uncanny" through material, technology, and narrative might allude to an imaginable future somewhere between harsh environmental conditions and co-existence with other species.
** Can this provoke thoughts of existential awareness?
